We are moving from a transactional discount program to a NEW! membership program that is focused on meaningful and transformational opportunities for our members to join us in our mission work.

Those transformational opportunities are provided through our member benefits. For instance, our Talk Stories series allows direct access to our many experts on staff where they share in-the-moment updates and respond to questions from our members. We are also providing ongoing real time updates of our research, education and conservation programs happening across the globe. These updates will be housed in our exclusive membership portal and will offer a behind-the-scenes look into Pacific Whale Foundation. Members will also have the opportunity to purchase member-only merchandise through the membership portal. In addition members will have the opportunity to join us during member only events and will have early access to tickets for events, such as the Film Festival. Members will still be able to enjoy priority boarding on our PacWhale Eco-Adventures cruises! 

We are happy to announce that members will now have the opportunity to choose between a monthly payment or an annual renewal.

Yes, our current members will have the option to RENEW or UPGRADE in an upcoming email. If members chose to RENEW they will continue with the old program process and benefits. HOWEVER, please note that the old program benefits will end at the conclusion of the 2022 Whale Season (April 15, 2022).

If a current member chooses to UPGRADE, there will be an option to pay hassle free with our new monthly recurring program or annually and will be able to enjoy the new benefits immediately! 

Current benefits will be replaced with the new membership program benefits focused on engagement and community.

The new membership program will be launched to our existing members June 29. We will offer the new program to the public starting July 19. There will be an opportunity to become ‘A Member for a Week’ July 19 – 26. This opportunity will provide access to the new membership portal and a Talk Story event with our Conservation Advocate, Shelby. 

If the member chooses to renew there will be no change. However, if the member chooses to UPGRADE they will move to a new rate, have the opportunity to pay monthly or annually and will be able to enjoy the NEW benefits immediately! 

All current program benefits will end at the conclusion of the 2022 Whale Season (April 15, 2022).

Your membership contributes to continuing our mission to protect the ocean through science and advocacy and inspire environmental stewardship. This program benefits our Research, Education and Conservation programs as we work together to mitigate the major threats facing whale and dolphins globally such as climate change, ship strikes, marine debris, bycatch and unsustainable tourism. 

PWF is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax-deductible. The amount of the gift that is eligible for deduction can depend on several factors, including the size and nature of the donation.
