2022 Society for Marine Mammalogy Conference | PWF Presentations


At the 2022 Society for Marine Mammalogy conference, PWF researchers attended educational workshops and delivered 5 presentations, with an additional 12 co-authored presentations delivered by our partners. In addition to sharing our conservation research - networking, learning of emerging science, and reinforcing partner relationships are all important facets of conference attendance. Maui Whale Festival 2021 | Research Webinar







The stories of Hawaii's whales and dolphins and PWF's mission to protect them.

Join us via Zoom for our third installment of our Maui Whale Festival Webinar Series with PWF Chief Scientist, Jens Currie. This webinar will be livestreamed as we share PWF’s 40-year research history and highlight some of the emerging threats facing whales and dolphins in Hawaii today. Jens will discuss PWF’s research efforts in Maui Nui by sharing the individual stories of the whales and dolphins that he studies. Join Jens as he shares stories from the field and answers questions you may have. This event is free and open to all ages!



 


Maui Whale Festival 2021 | Conservation Webinar







Join us for our second installment of our Maui Whale Festival Webinar Series with Conservation Coordinator, Shelby! This webinar will be livestreamed from the North Shore of Maui with the slopes of Haleakala as a backdrop. Shelby will show you how to fight the major stressors facing whale and dolphins through audience participation and engaging imagery. She will be joined by Special Events and Development Coordinator, Caitlin, as they highlight the efforts being made by Pacific Whale Foundation, answers questions and discuss with webinar participants ways to combat these threats. Open to all ages!

Join us as we kick off Maui Whale Festival with our Maui Whale Festival Webinar series. The first installment will feature our Education Manager, Robyn, as she broadcasts live aboard our floating classroom! Interact with Robyn and other members from the team while they listen in on the whales with our hydrophone, play games and talk story. Open to all ages!
